Claire Motors

Claire crawls now... not great distances, but if she sees something across the room that she wants, she goes for it. That includes a bowl of dog food, a magazine, mommy's legs, a rock that Frazil was chewing on, a computer cord, etc. I love and hate this. She's too adorable for words now that she is discovering the world, but she is also discovering what she doesn't want in the world, and that makes me the bad guy--holding her down to give her antibiotics.

My friend Papatya had a great suggestion for the poems, so I'm going to take her advice. More soon.

I ironically was looking for a car at "claire motors" in Boston and came up to this website. I think it is an awesome poem and wondering if this is Sue Allspaw who used to do poety at the Cantab like 94-97 or so....

Yes, Priscilla, that is me. What a flashback--I still love going to the Cantab when I visit back east. Did you do poetry there, too?

No, I didn't do poetry there but you took me there a couple of times, I was the wide eyed 16 year old who worked at Putnam. I wonder if you remember... For some reason I wondered if you answered my comment from way back when so I thought I'd drop another line. If you remember me drop me a line at PriscillaP@WinstonFlowers.com take care.
