I'm not dead
I've just been elsewhere in life than here, online.
But even as the holidays and the chaos of deadlines, a mobile child, and travel descend upon me, I feel like I have to make an effort to reconnect somehow, so here I am.
Claire walks. She walks like Frankenstein, but she's walking. We're both thrilled and terrified by this. The dogs don't know what to do. Claire thinks it's the best thing since crawling.
Marc is coming home from Chile today--yay! He's leaving for New Zealand next Thursday--darn. Well, darn for me and Claire; it's summertime in New Zealand, and we would certainly love it if we could go with him. Hopefully he'll actually get a chance to get off the ship to enjoy it a bit, but his work schedule is pretty packed.
We're all bound for Boston on the 23rd, though (except the dogs--they get to stay in chilly Colorado)--look for us there! I'm so excited to be going back east; it's been over 2 years since I've been back.
