Girl Scout Cookie Time!
This is my favorite time of year—when I get to relive my youth through all the Girl Scouts I meet and order cookies from. My niece is a Brownie, and she’s very excited about what her troop is doing. Of course, she gets very excited about just about everything. I remember all of the camping trips, urban field trips, and craft projects we did in Girl Scouts, and I miss having that much fun. I was first a member of the Dogwood Trail in Marshfield, Missouri, and then of the Patriot Trail in Everett, Massachusetts. I still think it was a miracle that I remained a girl scout until I was 17 years old—I went to the highest award level possible. Girl Scouts is the only way I stayed in touch with my elementary school friends all the way through high school. We always had that in common, and really had a good time in everything we did—drug awareness programs for youngsters, camping, singing carols for nursing homes.
Of course, now, I buy 15 boxes of cookies per year, and wish that my old green uniform would still fit.

I still have all of my cookie badges for top sales. Every year, I spend WAY too much money on WAY too many boxes of cookies, and always wish I'd bought more.
Thin mints.
That is alll . . .
