Bed Rest, Part 2
My even shorter cervix has won me 4-6 more weeks of bed rest--with the same rules as before: no sitting up at more than a 45 degree angle, only get up to go to the bathroom or change rooms once a day. I was expecting to be able to increase my activity, but that's a no-go; I need to not put any pressure on my cervix to avoid preterm labor. The only difference is that I may be doing some work from home for my job, which will at least keep me away from daytime tv. I'm trying to find the positives: 1. baby's still healthy and growing. 2. I won't need to buy any more maternity clothes since all I need are sweats and t-shirts. 3. maybe my being at home all the time will cure my dogs' separation anxiety. 4. I'll be able to work. 5. As soon as I get over the guilt, it is nice to be waited on.
Today I have a new list of chair projects, too, so it's back to work on that ghazal!
