May Day

What I really wanted to do when I woke up this morning was erect a pole in the backyard, tie a ribbon to each of my mini schnauzers, and see if I could get them to run around the pole. While this is a great image, the dogs would, in reality, eat the ribbons, chew the pole, and cause general panic among themselves.

Yesterday, my brother was married in Mill Valley, California. I was a wreck that I missed it because of this bedrest thing, but he called me three times, which was amazing and wonderful. He called 10 minutes before he had to go "on," and I felt honored by that. I'm sure it was a fabulous celebration, and I can't wait to hear all about it.

It's also slightly snowing here in Denver. On May Day. This is why we don't put gardens out until Memorial Day.

Today is also the birthday of a very special boy... Happy Birthday, Matthew!

Today is my "new leaf" of bedrest--I'll finally get to that writing assignment I was given the first week I was sent to bed, and other tasks.
